‘Where the Trees Go…’ portrays timber’s diverse uses, representing the carbon storage potential of these flows over time. The piece reflects the present situation - ‘business as usual’- alongside an ambitious future scenario where a greater proportion of timber is directed to enduring uses.

This ambitious scenario maps out a situation in which timber’s lifecycle can contribute more significantly to carbon sequestration and mitigation of global heating. The piece invites viewers to engage with the current reality of how timber is consumed, while considering how we might use timber more wisely.
