Located on Kenmure Road in the Clapton Square Conservation Area, Slight House is a new-build home nestled between two existing homes. The site was formerly a backland access to a housing estate, between 21 and 23 Kenmure Road.
The approved three storey home has a perforated brick facade, which will knit together this gap in the terrace in a strikingly modern fashion. Yet our overall design approach has been to respond sensitively to the form and materiality of the streetscape. We were delighted that Hackney’s planning authority agreed with our design approach, and are very much looking forward to taking the scheme forward into technical design.
