NBAU Blog Takeover – Week 14

Monday – 20/09/21

Floorers came and laid 6mm ply layer

Decking setting out and laying

Tuesday – 21/09/21

Floorers – laid self levelling screed layer.

Applying mastic in remaining courtyard windows in the morning.

Laid decking in the afternoon. It was frustrating when joists weren’t on centre and longer boards needed to be cut down.

Assessing board width, knots, length and bendiness was quite time consuming.

Wednesday – 22/09/21

• Laid decking first thing

Bathroom units assembling
Plumbing and further electrics works
Installing lighting cables and hanging lights
Floorers couldn’t do anything because tiles weren’t delivered

Thursday – 23/09/21

Floorers laid carpet in bedrooms and vinyl floors in bathrooms
Mastic Windows large windows
Assisted with bathroom cabinets
Kitchen sink and dish washer plumbed in
Work on ensuite plumbing
Hung lights

Friday – 24/09/21

Electrical checks, fixed in oven and microwave
Floorers applied Marmoleum tiles – still yet to be finished (Flooring finished on Sunday)
Finalised ensuite plumbing and shower fitted
Decking continued…
