A progress update from last week.
The North and West walls are now finished and our setting out sticks are working a treat. Due to the nature of building sites and necessary tolerances, we have had to work a little flexibly with our setting out.
The centres haven’t always worked out at 600mm and our window heads and sills have taken some jiggery-pokery to set out correctly. The spacings between our boards have varied from 14 – 19mm over the height of the building.
We will be using Japanese carpentry saws to trim down the sides to get a clean corner detail.
